Your Questions, My Answers

What will the programme for the weekend be?

An example programme can be found following the link on this page.

Do I have to take part in all of the runs?

All the sessions on the weekend are optional.  If you want to rest or take a walk in Nene Park  instead of taking part in a session then that is fine.  If you are injured but still want to come on the weekend and take part in what you can that is ok too.

Can we book as a group?

Yes group bookings are welcome.  The price for the weekend is shown on the basis of 2 people sharing a room so nominate a group leader and book the correct number of places.

Can I attend the weekend solo?

Yes and if you indicate that you are willing to share a room on the booking form then you will be charged the fee stated as based on 2 people sharing.  If you wish to have a single room then please use the contact form to be advised of the single supplement.

What standard do I need to be to attend the weekend?

This weekend is aimed at ladies that have run several parkruns and started to run further. If you want to find out how to run further and faster minimising the risk of injury then this weekend is for you.

The long run on the Sunday will be for a maximum of 8 miles and there will be a shorter option available.  The distances for all of the runs will be adjusted to suit the needs of the runners attending as far as possible.

What running kit do I need to bring?

Bring a set of running kit for each run as the weather cannot be guaranteed to be dry. Hopefully the weather will be warm but bring a variety of kit to select from.  The running routes are a mixture of tarmaced paths and footpaths so road shoes should be adequate but bring trail shoes if you have them.

What meals are included?

Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday; Lunch on Saturday and Sunday; Evening meal on Friday and Saturday.  Tea and coffee and water will be available at times throughout the weekend but please bring any snacks or sports drinks that you normally use as part of your training.

How many other runners will there be?

The weekends are designed for a maximum of 20 people to ensure that group sizes remain small.  This allows for personal attention from the coaches and the other deliverers.

Can I travel to the hotel by public transport?

The hotel is approximately 1.5 miles from Peterborough Railway Station which is on the main East Coast Line and various cross country routes.  Taxis are available at the Station.
